Collection: Gas Saunas

Steam & Oak are proudly the first UK retailer selected to partner with FinSteam — bringing certified, off-grid Finnish gas saunas to British gardens.

A gas sauna gives you an authentic Finnish sauna with none of the usual compromises: no electrician, no consumer-unit upgrade, no chimney and no fire to tend. Connect a propane bottle, turn the dial, and you are in full, naturally humid heat in around 15 minutes — anywhere in the garden, even far from the house.

Why choose a gas sauna?

  • Naturally humid heat. As the gas burns it releases water vapour, and because the heater is flueless that gentle humidity stays in the cabin — a softer heat than the dry warmth of an electric element. Add water to the stones for full löyly.
  • Truly off-grid. No mains power and no chimney, so it works where a normal sauna can't — and keeps working in a power cut.
  • No electrician, no wiring. A powerful electric sauna usually needs a dedicated circuit installed; a gas sauna just needs a propane bottle.
  • Hot in 15 minutes. Fast, dial-controlled heat — far quicker than a wood fire or a slow electric pre-heat.
  • Clean. No smoke, no ash, no soot and no flue to sweep.

Gas vs electric vs wood

Electric saunas tie you to the mains and an electrician and give a dry heat until you ladle water on. Wood-fired saunas mean splitting logs, tending a fire, smoke and a chimney. A gas sauna is the only option that is instant, off-grid, smoke-free and naturally humid.

Engineered and certified

Our heaters use FinSteam's patented burner technology and carry an EU Type-Examination Certificate under the Gas Appliance Regulation (2016/426). An automatic Oxygen Depletion Sensor cuts the gas if ventilation ever drops, backed by flame monitoring — FinSteam describe it as the only CE-marked, electricity-free sauna gas heater on the European market. Every sauna is supported in the UK with expert advice, delivery and spares.
