Indoor Traditional Saunas — Real Finnish, UK Homes

A real Finnish sauna: dry heat from heated stones, water thrown on for löyly (the burst of steam that defines Finnish bathing). Cabin temperatures reach 80–90°C, warm-up takes around 30–45 minutes, and run cost is typically £1.75–£2.25 per 90-minute session on a 6kW Harvia heater at 30p/kWh.

The range below is built for indoor placement — UK homes with the space to dedicate a basement, utility, or annexe to proper sauna use.

What you get

  • Harvia electric stone heaters — the named gold standard in every UK sauna review
  • Cabin walls 40–50mm — proper thermal mass for heat retention
  • Tempered glass door + interior bench layout built for daily use, not weekend novelty

Site prep notes

Most 6kW–9kW heaters need a dedicated 32A single-phase or 16A 3-phase supply — a qualified electrician must connect before first use. We've written a UK sauna buying guide covering the heater + electrical decisions in full.
