I'm Sarb Gill — founder of Steam & Oak. Every enquiry that comes through this page reaches me personally, not a contact centre, not a chatbot. If you're spending several thousand pounds on a hot tub or sauna, you deserve to be talking to someone who understands the products and can give you a straight answer.

For most questions, email is the right channel. I read every message and reply the same working day. UK customer? Mention your postcode and I can advise on access and delivery alongside the product question.

How I work with customers

I have a biology background and I curate the catalogue myself — every brand we stock (Hekla, Fonteyn, Harvia and others) has been chosen because the engineering and the wellness science behind it stand up to scrutiny. If you ask me whether a particular sauna heater is right for your build, or whether a heat pump pays back for the way you'd actually use a hot tub, you'll get a useful answer rather than a sales script.

I'd rather lose a sale than sell you the wrong product. Saunas, hot tubs and cold plunges are long-term purchases — the goal is for you to still be enjoying yours in ten years.

Response times

Email and voicemail enquiries are answered the same working day. Outside of opening hours (9:00–17:00 Monday–Friday), expect a reply by the end of the next working day.
