Hekla CUBE 250 | 6-Person Outdoor Cube Sauna
The Hekla CUBE 250 is the largest cabin in the cube range — a true 6-person outdoor sauna built for households where sauna is a shared event, not a solo escape. Full glass front, half panoramic rear window, and a contemporary cube silhouette that reads as deliberate garden architecture.
It is the right model for families who want a genuine recovery space at home, friend groups who want a better kind of weekend, and households with the garden footprint to commit to a serious wellness build.
The larger cabin volume changes the experience meaningfully: with 6 occupants the air does not feel exhausted, the heat distribution stays even across both bench levels, and the panoramic window prevents the visual claustrophobia that can settle in around the third or fourth round of a long session. This is sauna designed to be sat in for an hour, not just a quick five-minute warm-up.
Build, materials and weather resistance
The CUBE 250 is built from 40mm Thermowood — thermally modified Nordic spruce, 100% natural and chemical-free. Heat treatment improves dimensional stability and resistance to moisture, rot and insects, which matters for a cabin sitting in a UK garden through wet winters and summer humidity swings. The shingled roof adds genuine weather protection rather than cosmetic finish.
Interior, seating and atmosphere
Two spacious aspen benches accommodate 6 people with room for stretched-out positioning rather than upright endurance. Thermo-aspen duckboard flooring stays stable at high humidity. Integrated LED lighting handles the shift from energising daytime use to evening wind-down, and the ventilation valve supports fresh airflow across longer group sessions where CO2 buildup would otherwise become noticeable.
Heater choice and configuration
Heater is configured at order. The 250 cabin volume calls for a heater rated appropriately to the space — typically 8kW or 9kW for electric configurations, or a correctly sized wood-burning stove. Electric pairing favours frequency of use and low-friction daily ownership; wood-burning favours weekend ritual and the traditional Finnish atmosphere. Specification on either route should be confirmed at checkout.
Delivery & site preparation
- Standard delivery: Free standard delivery is included.
- Delivery type: Sauna deliveries are usually specialist freight or booked delivery because of panel size and weight.
- Site preparation: Outdoor saunas need a suitable, level base ready before delivery.
- Heater & electrical: A qualified electrician must connect electric heaters before first use. 8kW–9kW sauna heaters typically require a dedicated 32A single-phase or 16A 3-phase supply. Wood-burning configurations require a compliant flue and clearance to combustibles per the manufacturer specification.
- Installation tier: select your preferred installation option from the product menu at checkout.
