What "gas-ready" means — engineered vents built into the cabin
The gas variant ships with wooden louvre vents at the FinSteam-specified sizes built in: intake ≥350 cm² low next to the heater (fresh air from outside), exhaust ≥250 cm² high in the opposite corner (discharged to outside). FinSteam exclude plastic disc / twist valves — the gas variant doesn't have those. Vent + heater certified together under EU Reg 2016/426. Electric variants ship with the standard vent set for an electric heater.

Wood-fired isn't available on the 1.8m size — the ~4.5m³ interior is too small for our supplier's stocked wood-fired stove. For wood-fired, see the 2.4m and larger models.
The compact 1.8m cube sauna — straight-walled architectural form, full standing height, glass-front door. Trades the rustic barrel look for a clean modern silhouette: square frame, flat-roof aesthetic, more usable bench length than a barrel of the same external footprint.
Running cost + warm-up
Gas (Aurora R11S): ~£0.50-£0.80 per session, 15-20 min heat-up. Electric (Harvia 6.8kW): £1.75-£2.25 per 90-min session, 30 min heat-up. Electric 9kW: £2.50-£3.25 per session.
Why a cube instead of a barrel
Same build quality as the barrel range (44mm Scandinavian spruce, alder benches, 8mm tempered glass), but the cube format gives you full standing headroom throughout, longer usable bench length, and a clean architectural silhouette that pairs with modern garden buildings + contemporary patios. Where the barrel hides in a corner, the cube is a deliberate design statement.
