Hekla Barrel Sauna 210 | 2-Person Outdoor Barrel Sauna with 6.6kW Harvia Heater Included

A compact 2-person outdoor barrel sauna with the Harvia PC66 6.6kW electric heater fitted as standard and a Katepal shingle roof rated for genuine UK weather. The Barrel 210 is the entry point into the Hekla outdoor barrel range — designed for couples, solo recovery sessions, and small UK gardens where footprint matters.

It is the right model when you want authentic Finnish-style barrel sauna design without the larger 250 footprint or the install scope that comes with a full 6-person cabin.

Barrel geometry has a real thermal advantage at this size: the curved walls promote convective circulation, so the cabin warms evenly rather than stratifying into hot pockets near the heater. With a 6.6kW heater appropriately sized to the cabin volume, warm-up time stays short and the working temperature is stable across the session — important for a 2-person cabin where you want sauna to be a 20-minute habit rather than a 45-minute commitment.

Heater specification and electrical

The Harvia PC66 is a 6.6kW electric heater matched to the cabin volume. Push-button operation, stable thermostatic control, and reliable warm-up within roughly 25 minutes from cold. Electric heat removes the wood-stove maintenance overhead and routes the install responsibility to a qualified electrician — typically a dedicated 32A single-phase or 16A 3-phase supply.

Build, weather resistance and finish

The cabin uses 28mm or 42mm wood depending on configuration, with a chestnut-effect stain finish. The Katepal shingle roof is the meaningful weather-protection feature: factory-cut bituminous shingles rather than felt, with colour options selectable at order. The 8mm bronze safety glass door (H 1690mm × W 590mm) admits warm light while maintaining structural safety at sauna thermal stresses.

Interior, atmosphere and ownership

Inside, alder terrace benches stay kind to skin at high cabin temperatures, and wooden floor grates provide insulating separation underfoot. Built-in ventilation supports fresh airflow during longer sessions, and a drain tap makes post-session clean-up straightforward — the practical detail that determines whether a sauna gets used weekly or becomes a once-a-month event. Approximate assembled weight is 600kg; flat-pack delivery for on-site assembly.

Delivery & site preparation

  • Standard delivery: Free standard delivery is included.
  • Delivery type: Sauna deliveries are usually specialist freight or booked delivery because of panel size and weight.
  • Site preparation: Outdoor saunas need a suitable, level base ready before delivery.
  • Heater & electrical: A qualified electrician must connect the heater before first use. Harvia PC66 6.6kW heaters typically require a dedicated supply on a 32A single-phase or 16A 3-phase circuit; confirm exact specification with your installer. Cabin ships flat-pack for on-site assembly.
  • Installation tier: select your preferred installation option from the product menu at checkout.
