Holl's Orphée Lounge — Barrel Sauna with Terrace

The Orphée Lounge stretches the barrel to 240cm and spends every extra centimetre on the part of sauna culture most gardens miss: the in-between. Its integrated front terrace is where the cool-down happens — steam, cold air, back again — without leaving the deck the sauna stands on.

The sauna evening, complete

Inside the barrel: five to six seats over two bench heights, a Vulkano Black 9kW stone heater, LED chromotherapy and that naturally circulating barrel heat. Outside: bench seating under the barrel's own silhouette, made for towels, drinks and the pause between rounds.

Power and installation

As with the Orphée: budget for a heavy dedicated circuit (often 400V three-phase) installed by a qualified electrician, a firm level base of at least ~150 × 220cm, and a half-day two-person build.
