Hekla IR130 | 2-Person Indoor Infrared Sauna Cabin
The Hekla IR130 is the compact 2-person infrared sauna in the Hekla IR family — narrower and shallower than the IR160, designed for buyers who want a true two-occupant cabin in a smaller indoor footprint. It plugs into a standard UK 13A socket, with no dedicated electrical work needed for installation.
It is the right model for couples in flats, smaller spare rooms, or home gyms where the IR160 footprint would dominate the space but a single-occupant cabin would not deliver the shared session a household actually wants.
Cabin sizing is a real lever in infrared sauna ownership — a smaller volume warms faster, runs more efficiently per session, and tolerates a tighter heater configuration without compromising radiant coverage. At 130 × 110 × 200cm the IR130 sits between the 1-person IR100 and the larger IR160, with the same hybrid halogen and carbon heater architecture scaled to the cabin volume.
Heating system and warm-up profile
The IR130 uses a hybrid heating configuration: halogen near-infrared emitters for fast targeted radiant warmth, paired with a carbon far-infrared panel for sustained even temperature across the cabin. The combination gives a usable session profile within roughly 10 to 15 minutes of switching on, materially shorter than a traditional convective cabin. Exact emitter wattage and count are confirmed in the product specification at order.
Cabin construction and finish
The IR130 follows the same Hekla IR family build pattern: heat-stable thermo aspen interior chosen for the way it feels against skin at session temperature, contemporary black veneer exterior, and tinted safety glass front and door panels for an open feel. The 130 × 110 × 200cm footprint is the meaningful number — narrower depth than the IR160, designed to fit against an interior wall without imposing on the room.
Atmosphere and controls
Multicolour LED lighting offers selectable colour modes for atmosphere across an evening session, and Bluetooth audio supports direct streaming of guided breathwork, music, or podcasts from a phone. An internal digital control panel keeps temperature and timer adjustment within reach mid-session — the kind of small ownership detail that determines whether a sauna becomes a daily habit or stays a weekend novelty.
Delivery & site preparation
- Standard delivery: Free standard delivery is included.
- Delivery type: Sauna deliveries are usually specialist freight or booked delivery because of panel size and weight.
- Assembly & power: Infrared cabins are usually easier to site than traditional saunas, but you still need a suitable space and power supply ready before delivery. Most domestic models run from a standard UK 13A 3-pin socket; confirm the rating on the product specification before installing.
- Installation tier: select your preferred installation option from the product menu at checkout.
