Steam & Oak Anvil 3 — 4-Person Hybrid Infrared & Traditional Sauna

✓ Full-spectrum infrared and a 4.5 kW electric sauna heater ✓ Up to 90°C ✓ Two-tier bench for four ✓ 180 × 180 × 210 cm ✓ Real UK support on WhatsApp

This is the one that does traditional heat as well. The Anvil 1 and Anvil 2 are full-spectrum infrared cabins, and they are very good at what they do. The Anvil 3 keeps all of that and adds a 4.5 kW electric sauna heater — so the same cabin can give you a long, gentle infrared session on a Tuesday and a proper 90°C sauna on a Saturday.

Two ways to heat one cabin

Infrared is light your body absorbs as heat. It works at lower air temperatures, so a session can be long and comfortable, and it is ready quickly.

Traditional heat is the old way, and there is no substitute for it. A 4.5 kW electric sauna heater warms the air and the timber around you to as much as 90°C — the dry, enveloping heat that people mean when they say they want a real sauna.

Most hybrid cabins ask you to choose one. This one does not.

Anvil, and how it differs from Kajo

Our Kajo range is where most people start with infrared: compact hemlock cabins, plainly specified, at the entry end of the market. Anvil is the tier above. Bigger cabins, a heavier specification, and — at the top of the range — a proper sauna heater rather than panels alone. Same company, same straight talking, same phone number. Just more sauna.

Where it sits in the Anvil range

The Anvil range runs on one simple idea: the further up it you go, the closer you get to a traditional sauna.

  • Anvil 1 — full-spectrum infrared for two.
  • Anvil 2 — the same full-spectrum heat, with room for four.
  • Anvil 3 — full-spectrum infrared and a 4.5 kW electric sauna heater. Two ways to heat, in one cabin.

Why people choose the Anvil 3

  • A proper sauna heater, not just panels — 4.5 kW, up to 90°C.
  • Full-spectrum infrared as well, for the nights when 90°C is more than you want.
  • Two-tier bench — hotter up top, gentler below, so a household with different tolerances can share the same session.
  • 180 × 180 × 210 cm — a proper room, not a cupboard.

Colour lighting — and what it's actually for

The Anvil includes multicolour LED lighting. You'll find this sold elsewhere as "chromotherapy", usually with claims attached about sleep, mood or energy. We'll be straight with you: the evidence for colour light therapy is thin, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

What it genuinely is: a nice piece of ambience, included at no extra cost. Warm tones for an evening wind-down, something cooler after training, or switched off entirely if you'd rather sit in the quiet dark. Yours to play with — we just won't sell it to you as medicine.

Frequently asked questions

What makes the Anvil 3 a hybrid?

It has both. Full-spectrum infrared for a long, gentle session, and a 4.5 kW electric sauna heater for a proper hot sauna up to 90°C. Two ways to heat the same cabin, and you pick which one suits the evening.

Can I pour water on it?

The Anvil 3 heats with an electric sauna heater rather than an infrared panel alone, so it behaves like a traditional sauna. Whether water can be poured depends on the heater fitted, so ask us before you order and we will confirm it rather than guess — and always follow the manufacturer instructions supplied with your unit.

How hot does it get?

Up to 90°C on the heater — traditional sauna heat. On infrared alone it runs cooler and gentler, which is the point of having both.

How many people does it seat?

Four, on a two-tier bench. The upper tier sits in the hotter air, the lower tier is gentler — useful when not everyone in the house wants the same intensity.

What size is it?

180 × 180 × 210 cm. Check your ceiling height as well as your floor space — 210 cm is taller than a standard door.

Can it go outside?

No. The Anvil 3 is an indoor sauna. For a garden sauna, look at our barrel range.

Do I need an electrician?

Very likely, and we will confirm it with you before you order. A 4.5 kW heater is not a plug-in appliance in the way a small infrared cabin is. Message us with your details and we will tell you what your supply needs to be.

Why is the Anvil 3 more expensive than the Anvil 1 and 2?

Because of the heater. Anvil 1 and Anvil 2 are infrared cabins. The Anvil 3 keeps that and adds a 4.5 kW electric sauna heater, a bigger cabin and a two-tier bench. The further up the Anvil range you go, the closer you get to a traditional sauna.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes — 12 months interest-free (0% APR) via Klarna or Shop Pay.
