What "gas-ready" means — engineered vents built into the cabin

The gas variant ships with wooden louvre vents at the FinSteam-specified sizes built in: intake ≥350 cm² low next to the heater (fresh air from outside), exhaust ≥250 cm² high in the opposite corner (discharged to outside). FinSteam exclude plastic disc / twist valves. Vent + heater certified together under EU Reg 2016/426. Electric/wood-fired variants ship with the appropriate vent set for that heat type.

Running cost + warm-up

Gas (Aurora R14S): ~£0.50-£0.80 per session, 15-20 min heat-up. Electric (Harvia 6.8kW): £1.75-£2.25 per 90-min session, 30 min heat-up. Electric 9kW: £2.50-£3.25 per session. Wood (Etna 12): £2-£4 hardwood logs.

The L-shaped two-level bench is the differentiator

Two-level benches matter for shared sessions — different users have different heat tolerance, and the lower bench (cooler + closer to floor airflow) is genuinely usable for kids, older users, or anyone who finds 90°C bench-top intense. The L-shape adds corner seating that lets people face each other during conversation rather than sit shoulder-to-shoulder. Compared head-to-head with Hekla's CUBE 250 — the most direct UK competitor at the 6-person Harvia-bundled price point — this cube ships with L-shaped two-level alder benches plus a 0.75m enclosed anteroom, where the Hekla CUBE 250 has single-level benches and no anteroom.
