Steam & Oak Tartu Pre-Assembled Sauna House — 4–6 Person, Glass Gable & LED Lighting

It arrives finished. Not flat-packed, not a kit, not a weekend with two people and an instruction booklet — the Tartu is delivered as one assembled building, craned or rolled into position, and connected. That is the whole proposition, and it is why it costs what it does.

What turns up is a blackened-timber cabin with a pitched roof, a full glass gable end, aspen-lined walls, two-level benches with a backrest, and LED lighting already installed behind the backrest and in the ceiling. You supply a level base and an electrician. Everything else is done.

Insulated like a house, not a shed

100 mm of insulation in the roof, the walls and the floor. That is a genuine building specification, and it is unusual on a garden sauna at any price.

The practical effect is heat that stays where you put it. A 14 m³ room is a lot of air to warm, but with this much insulation it comes up quickly and holds temperature long after the heater cycles off — and it costs less to run than the volume would suggest. It also means the cabin is comfortable to sit in as a garden room when the heater is off, which is not true of a thin-panel sauna.

Outside: 19 mm spruce, pre-painted black at the factory. Inside: 15 mm aspen panelling, pale and soft-grained, with aspen benches. The contrast is the point.

This is the most complete cabin we sell. Everything below is fitted before it leaves the factory:

Choose your heater

The Tartu takes a wall-mounted electric heater. Our Harvia Wall is black steel with a full 20 kg stone capacity for softer, steadier löyly, integrated controls and a 2-year warranty — black steel against pale aspen, which is the look the cabin is designed around.

Worth saying plainly: insulation changes the arithmetic. A 14 m³ room in a thin-panel cabin would want considerably more output than this one does. If you want to talk it through before ordering, we would rather do that than have you over-specify.

All electric heaters must be installed and connected by a qualified electrician. We confirm the exact supply requirement with you before delivery.

A note on gas — not on this model

We offer off-grid propane heaters across most of our range, and they are often the thing that makes a sauna possible in a garden with no power at the far end.

The Tartu is the exception. It arrives as a finished, fully insulated building — 100 mm in the roof, walls and floor. Cutting a gas flue through that build-up after assembly is not something we are prepared to do as standard, because doing it badly compromises the insulation, the vapour control and the fire detailing all at once.

If off-grid running matters more than pre-assembly, look at the gas-ready range — most of our flat-pack cabins take a FinSteam propane heater without difficulty. We would rather point you at the right building than sell you a compromise.

2-year warranty

The Tartu carries a 2-year warranty on the structure, and the heater carries its own manufacturer warranty.

The factory-applied black finish is durable, but like any outdoor timber it lasts longest if you maintain it. We will tell you exactly what to use and when.

Lead time — please ask before you order

Lead time depends on stock and specification, and it moves. Depending on what is already built and how the factories are running, it can be anywhere from a couple of weeks to around four months.

Ask us and we will give you the real date for your build before you commit — we would rather tell you the honest timescale up front than quote a comfortable number and disappoint you later.

Delivery and siting — read this before you order

Pre-assembled delivery is the best thing about this cabin and the thing that needs the most planning.

• It arrives at 269 × 240 × 259 cm as a single unit. That will not go through a standard side gate, down an alley, or round a tight corner.
• Access is the deciding factor. You need a route wide enough for the unit and firm enough for the machinery placing it — typically a driveway, a wide side access, or crane access over a wall or fence.
• Base: level, well-drained and load-bearing. A concrete slab or properly laid paving.
• Send us photographs of the access route before you order. We will tell you honestly whether it can be delivered, and if not, we will point you at a flat-pack cabin that can.

Get the access right and this is the simplest sauna installation there is: it is placed, connected, and working the same day.
