Holl's Cocoon — 2-Person Outdoor Steam Sauna for Patios & Terraces

The Cocoon answers the question most outdoor saunas ignore: what if you don't have a big garden? At 130 × 130cm — a footprint smaller than a garden table — it puts a genuine steam sauna on a patio, terrace or balcony-sized corner of decking, wrapped in black heat-treated Canadian pine with a tinted glass door and a half-moon rear window for light without an audience.

Real steam, city footprint

Inside is the full traditional experience: a Vulkano Black 4.5kW electric heater over stones, 65–90°C on tap, water-pour steam whenever you want it. An LED chromotherapy strip runs the light; the included sauna kit (bucket, ladle, hygrometer, hourglass) means the first session happens the day it's built.

Power and installation

Site it on a firm, level base (paving, concrete pad or reinforced deck) and have a qualified electrician run a dedicated outdoor-rated supply to the heater. Assembly is a half-day job for two people.
