Running cost + warm-up (the question buyers ask first)

The Harvia 6kW heater pulls about 6 kWh peak. Run cost at 30p/kWh is typically £1.75–£2.25 per 90-minute session. Warm-up from cold to working temperature (80–90°C) takes around 30–45 minutes. Once you're up to temperature, throwing water on the stones (löyly) drops a brief humid pulse that's the whole point of traditional bathing — no infrared shortcut comes close.

Why "real Finnish" matters

• Ventilation: Sauna ventilation valve included; ambient room ventilation (extractor or trickle vent) still needs consideration to clear humidity after sessions.
