Saunas
Explore the Steam & Oak sauna range built for real UK use — from compact indoor options to premium outdoor garden saunas designed for year-round sessions. Whether your goal is relaxation, recovery, better sleep, or simply a daily “reset”, the right sauna comes down to type, space, and heat style.
Choose your sauna in 60 seconds
- Indoor vs Outdoor: Indoor is simplest if you have the room; outdoor gives you the best “spa at home” feel.
- Barrel vs Cabin/Cube: Barrel heats fast and looks great; cabin/cube maximises interior space and bench layout.
- Infrared vs Traditional heat: Infrared is gentle and convenient; traditional gives the classic high-heat sauna experience.
What most people get wrong
- Buying too big: A well-chosen 2–4 person sauna is used more often than a huge one you rarely heat.
- Not planning electrics: Heater power (kW) matters — plan the electrical setup early.
- Placement mistakes: Think access, base, drainage and airflow before delivery day.
Use the filters to pick Type → Indoor/Outdoor → Seats and you'll narrow down to the right options quickly.

Sauna FAQs
Indoor or outdoor sauna — which should I choose?
Indoor is simplest if you have a suitable room (garage, utility, basement). Outdoor gives the best "spa at home" feel and frees up indoor space, at the cost of a base and garden placement. See our UK Sauna Buying Guide.
Infrared or traditional heat?
Infrared is gentle, plugs into a 13A socket and warms you directly at a lower air temperature — convenient and cheap to run. Traditional gives the classic high-heat, humid löyly experience but needs a more powerful heater. Our infrared vs traditional guide compares them.
Do I need special wiring for a sauna?
An infrared cabin runs off a standard 13A socket. A traditional electric heater needs a dedicated circuit (16A or 32A) installed by an electrician. Gas saunas need no electrics at all.
How much do saunas cost?
From under £800 for a portable gas tent, through indoor infrared cabins from £1,395, up to premium outdoor barrel and cabin saunas. Browse by type to see prices, or read the buying guide.
Is there a no-electrics option?
Yes — our FinSteam gas saunas run off a propane bottle with no mains supply, hot in about 15 minutes.
