An electric outdoor sauna isn't just the cabin. It needs a dedicated 32A circuit fitted by a Part P electrician, and if your consumer unit is full, that's another job on top. A gas sauna needs none of it.

No electrician, no Gas Safe engineer

The FinSteam heater is freestanding — it isn't hard-piped into your home's gas supply. The cylinder sits outside and connects with the UK propane regulator + hose we include. Because it's a portable appliance you self-connect, there's no electrician, no Gas Safe engineer, and no building control sign-off.

Built safe, certified in Europe

The cylinder stays outside. An Oxygen Depletion System cuts the gas if the flame fails or oxygen drops. Ignition is press-button piezo — no open flame to light. And FinSteam is the first LPG sauna heater in Europe certified under the EU Gas Appliance Regulation.

The honest numbers

A gas cabin sauna starts at £6,190, ready to use on delivery day. An electric one at £4,295 looks cheaper — until you add £400–£1,200 for the electrician, up to £1,500 more if your board needs upgrading, and the weeks of waiting. By the time it's working, the gap has all but closed. And you can spread it with 0% finance over 12 months.

Questions

Do I really not need an electrician?

No. There's no 32A circuit, no Part P work and no rewiring.

Can I connect it myself?

Yes — the cylinder sits outside and connects with the included UK regulator + hose. It's a freestanding portable appliance, not fixed pipework — so no Gas Safe engineer is required.

What if I want the sauna far from the house?

Gas frees you from the cable run — put it at the bottom of the garden or anywhere the bottle can sit outside.

Is it safe?

Yes — Oxygen Depletion System, cylinder outside, CE-certified.

Can I use it in a smoke control area?

Yes — gas produces no smoke.
